French Language Course in Qatar

Objectives

• Students learn how to make simple enquiries in speaking and writing, and to give instructions, they also build basic grammar skills and increase vocabulary.
• Good basic knowledge of French: ability to talk about everyday situations, ask the way and give simple descriptions.
• Very good basic knowledge of French. Understanding of everyday spoken and written situations, ability to communicate in day-to-day contexts.

Duration

Program : 4 levels + 1 optional level
Level length : 30 hours each
Course length : Conversation Course (30 hours)

Contents

• A0 – Student has no or little knowledge of French. Classes are mainly teacher and student led, textbook, activities and a lot of drilling is used at this stage
• A1 - Student has some knowledge of French. They learn how to express themselves adequately in familiar, everyday situations and to read and understand simple texts. Main course topics include: greetings, Alphabet + letters combination, nationalities and countries, jobs, numbers
• A2 - student should have a basic command of the fundamentals of French grammar and be in the position to participate in simple discussions and to understand simple texts, including the main points of short press articles. Main topics include: giving personal details (address, telephone number, email, age), filling a form, food and drinks, holidays in France and abroad, describing a city (jobs and places)
