French Language

French language course at Educate introduces students to the language and culture of France. It provides language training in the four basic skills - listening, reading, writing, and writing.

Each lesson introduces new vocabulary and grammar concepts through listening comprehension, speaking, and writing activities. Students learn to talk about themselves and others, describe their surroundings and use numbers for dates and time.

At Educate French is taught in 90 hours, A0 complete beginner, A1 Elementary and A2 pre-intermediate.

Classes are interactive and taught in full immersion. In earlier levels, students drill the targeted language to help them remember and understand the rules.


  • Students learn how to make simple enquiries in speaking and writing, and to give instructions, they also build basic grammar skills and increase vocabulary.
  • Good basic knowledge of French: ability to talk about everyday situations, ask the way and give simple descriptions.
  • Very good basic knowledge of French. Understanding of everyday spoken and written situations, ability to communicate in day-to-day contexts.


Program : 4 levels + 1 optional level
Level length : 30 hours each
Course length : Conversation Course (30 hours)


  • A0 – Student has no or little knowledge of French. Classes are mainly teacher and student led, textbook, activities and a lot of drilling is used at this stage
  • A1 - Student has some knowledge of French. They learn how to express themselves adequately in familiar, everyday situations and to read and understand simple texts. Main course topics include: greetings, Alphabet + letters combination, nationalities and countries, jobs, numbers
  • A2 - student should have a basic command of the fundamentals of French grammar and be in the position to participate in simple discussions and to understand simple texts, including the main points of short press articles. Main topics include: giving personal details (address, telephone number, email, age), filling a form, food and drinks, holidays in France and abroad, describing a city (jobs and places)
